Laurie Anne Land: August 2025

Laurie Anne Art February 2025 – Monthly Blog Banner

Hello from Oregon!!

July was a full one—we celebrated Taylor's 40th and Oscar's 2nd birthdays, spent time with friends, and had my parents visit for a week. And… we had about 50 bats break into our house. 🦇

What started as a simple fix for bats roosting outside turned into five nights of absolute chaos after they came pouring inside through the eaves. It was wild, a little traumatizing, and involved some very bad advice (hint: don’t turn on the lights). But we made it through—no bites, no bat contact—and I now consider myself a semi-expert in bats. 😂 Oh, we also caught a mouse that was living in our van!

Right before all the critter chaos, I launched brand new Print Sets!! These are curated sets that take the guesswork out of choosing prints that pair well together. I love them and hope you do too!

I have been buying a lot of stuff for the cabin and have been saving my favorites for you! 👇🏽

What I'm Loving

I know I shared vacuums last month but I finally picked one. If I had the space in our cabin to keep this vacuum, I 100% would. The auto clean out is SO cool but the base station is too large for our closet. So, I got this other vacuum that takes up minimal space, has a light and stands up on its own and I love it!! Highly recommend!

I love our new living room rug for the cabin. It's super affordable and feels like nice carpet!!

Taylor and I have done this 5 minute journal everyday for the last 6 months and love it. It’s short and sweet and gets us into such a good headspace. We just started our 2nd journals.

I am very happy with our bedding and end of bed quilts. We also have these in Phoenix.

An unexpected delight is this little drink table I got that doubles as a puzzle table for our puzzle board.

How cool are these beautiful exercise weights that look like home decor!

I have had this bag for over 20 years and it's such a workhorse. Perfect for summer and really any season!!
